Born and raised in West-Berlin by a Finnish mother and a German father Kristiina Tuomi has always been a wanderer between worlds. She is a trained singer and song writer with a musical spectrum ranging from Indie Pop, Jazz, EDM to Kunstlied and Metal.
„…the jazz, the pop camp, and even the critics have long been at her feet anyway. Because finally there’s someone who opposes the voiceless voices, the biting marketing stunts, the soft-soul wave with something powerful. It was about time!“
Jazzthing
„Kristiina Tuomi’s dream is that her name immediately evokes a certain atmosphere… She has already succeeded in doing so.“
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
„…when Kristiina Tuomi began to sing Rilke, one almost forgot to breathe… And then that voice… that makes one fall to their knees by the third song at the latest.“
Tagesspiegel
„Kristiina Tuomi is a masterful vocalist: her characterful, warm, and dark-toned voice can soar to the highest heights in long melodic lines, without any scratching, without any effort.“
I offer private vocal lessons in Berlin and teach at the preparatory program of the State Music School City West in Berlin Charlottenburg. Additionally, I coached actors at the Deutsches Theater and the Berliner Ensemble. With a background in vocal studies at the University of the Arts, I’m passionate about helping you unlock your full potential in singing.
Alongside my singing career, I express myself as a passionate drummer in the underground rock scene, contributing rhythm and noise to „The Queef of England“ band and sometimes to serious theater productions.
